Biography
John was born 10 May 1871, at Douds, Van Buren, Iowa.
He was the son of Andrew McCullough and Mary Kittle.

In 1938, John and his son, Alex, invented of the formula for soft serve ice cream, and in 1940, the two men became co-founder, with Sherb Noble, of the Dairy Queen restaurant chain.
John passed away 9 Feb 1963, in Davenport, Iowa. He was 91 years old.
