Biography

My research is an exploration into new visual and three-dimensional design vocabularies for thinking about ethical and social issues in the sciences and technology, and it aims to contribute to the ongoing methodological debates in bioethics, science communication and the sociology of emerging scientific knowledge and technology.

I am the co-author (Prof.

Gordon Hush) of the edited volume titled Design Beyond the Human - Transdisciplinary Conversations About the Planet (Bloomsbury, 2025), a collection of essays by international scholars, designers, and engaged citizens, which invite reflection on whether design, in a more-than-human way, might reimagine Battle of Ideas 2008 | speaker | Elio Caccavale GAF
